Why This Reference Exists
Printed Texarkana directories ended long ago, yet the records behind resident research remain. They are simply held in different places. The Miller County Assessor and Circuit Clerk maintain property and deed material. Voter information follows Arkansas rules. Historic volumes are available through library, archive, museum, and catalog sources. We bring together the search routes, custodian contacts, known coverage, and access limits so researchers can choose the right Texarkana source without mistaking a property owner for a resident.
What Is Available Here
- Research by purpose: the street directory for address records, the city directory for historical volumes, and the resident lookup for one-person searches
- Custodians and collections: the assessor, recorder, elections office, court clerk, vital-record office, and local-history sources
- Practical methods: tracing a street, decoding a directory entry, and following a Texarkana household through time
- Access boundaries: what Arkansas law makes public, what remains restricted, and how to request a record that is not online
What We Do Not Provide
This is a privately operated reference site. It has no connection with the City of Texarkana, Miller County, the State of Arkansas, any court, or any library. Those boundaries mean:
- We cannot verify that a named person now lives in Texarkana
- We do not retrieve, certify, amend, or interpret an official record for you
- We cannot place a person on, or remove a person from, any government roll or database
- We do not offer legal advice about records or disputes
- We cannot guarantee that every link, office detail, or coverage statement is current
The office holding a record is the only authority that can confirm, certify, or correct it. Material found here cannot be used for credit, employment, tenant, or insurance decisions.
